First School Tournament Held

The very first Gracie Barra Alabama school tournament was held on Saturday, March 30th. The day began with the awarding of several well-deserved new belts and ranks, followed by some intense competition.

Several new belts were awarded, including new Purple Belts for Martin Bushell, Ben Campbell and Lorena Oliveira. New blue belts and a number of stripe advancements were also presented.

The competition was fast and furious, but friendly. The competition phase started at 10:00 AM with the children’s brackets, followed by the teens and adult white belts. The competition finished up with the adult blue and purple belts.
